Each year, our senior business majors compete in a business simulation game that is utilized by hundreds of colleges and universities. As part of the BUS 413 Business Policy class, the game allows students to show how they have been prepared by their department curriculums to make business decisions that simulate an athletic shoe manufacturing company. This semester, there are 4,393 teams from 258 colleges and universities competing worldwide.
In February, one of VFCC’s teams (Rachel Craig and Michael Stum) achieved a very unique status: their team was ranked 37th in the world for their overall game-to-date score! This accomplishment is a great indication of these two students’ abilities, but also highlights the Business Department’s success in preparing students for the real world.
Way to go Rachel, Michael and the VFCC business department!
