Graduates Chapel - Closing Convocation – Friday, April 26, 2013, 10:00 am – Flower Chapel
Our desire is to honor you before your fellow classmates. Graduates will wear their academic regalia and will be seated in the front of the Chapel. Please make arrangements to attend.
Commencement Rehearsal – Thursday, May 2, 2013, 3:00 pm - Flower Chapel
Attendance is required. Tickets for Commencement will be distributed at rehearsal.
Graduates Family & Friend Brunch – Friday, May 3, 2013, 8:00-9:30 am - The Anvil. Free
Baccalaureate Service – Friday, May 3, 2013, 10:00 am – Flower Chapel
The Baccalaureate Service is a formal academic event with proper regalia, decorum and spiritual tone.
Commencement Buffet Lunch – Friday, May 3, 2013, 11:30 am – 1:30 pm - Dining Commons
One complimentary lunch ticket will be included for the graduate. Guest tickets may be purchased for $9.00 each. Please complete and submit the form to the Office of Academic Affairs by April 19, 2013. The lunch will cost $10.00 at the door. Credit cards are accepted.
Commencement – Friday, May 3, 2013, 3:00 pm - The Green Lane Commons (Flower Chapel – Inclement weather)
Commencement is the culmination of your academic life at Valley Forge Christian College.
Six (6) Chapel and four (4) overflow (Cardone Hall, Classrooms) tickets for the Commencement service will be distributed to each graduate during Commencement Rehearsal on May 2, 2013 if needed due to inclement weather. If you need additional tickets, complete and submit the Additional Ticket Request Form to the Office of Academic Affairs by April 19, 2013. NO tickets are needed if the service is outdoors. SPECIAL NEEDS SEATING
Special seating is available for guests who have medical conditions. This seating is not closer to the commencement platform than general seating. Due to limited space, we will only be able to accommodate two guests per party with tickets if in the Flower Chapel due to inclement weather in the special needs seating area. Others in the party will sit in the general audience. Guests may also watch the ceremony broadcast live in the air-conditioned classroom.
A drop-off area is available for those with conditions that prevent them from walking distances. INCLEMENT WEATHER INFORMATION
In the event of inclement weather, the location of the Commencement ceremony will change from The Green Lane Commons to the Flower Chapel. Since seating is limited, guest admission to the Flower Chapel is by ticket only. HOT WEATHER
It is possible that the weather will be unseasonably warm. Students and guests are advised to dress appropriately if this is the case. Bottled water will be available to purchase from the Alumni table. INDOOR CLOSED-CIRCUIT COVERAGE
Rain or shine, the Commencement ceremony will be broadcast live through closed-circuit coverage in air-conditioned classrooms in Cardone Hall. INTERNET WEB COVERAGE
Valley Forge Christian College will webcast the entire Baccalaureate service and Commencement ceremony live on the Internet. Family and friends who cannot attend in person should log-on early to ensure a good connection. DIRECTIONS

Valley Forge Christian College has taken individual color photograph of each graduate receiving a diploma on-stage and a posed photograph with their diploma off-stage. You will be able to purchase these photos of your favorite moments soon. A link will appear here shortly with instructions. Graduates do not have to make prior arrangements for this service. Valley Forge Christian College began celebrating its 75th Anniversary this year, beginning August 2013 at General Council and culminating with a memorable commencement ceremony on May 9, 2014.
Throughout the year, special events will take place to observe this historic time. Each of VFCC’s legacy schools will be represented in the celebrations, along with decades of alumni who comprise the VFCC family.
75th Anniversary festivities include Homecoming, Christmas at Valley Forge, select chapel services, and Commencement featuring Rev. Philip Bongiorno ‘55 as the Commencement speaker. In addition, a 75th Anniversary celebration will be held on April 9, 2014. Stay tuned for more information on this exciting event.
VFCC is excited to announce construction of a 75th Anniversary Plaza, which will honor the individuals and institutions that have made the College what it is today. The Plaza will include a cornerstone from the Green Lane campus, engraved stones and bricks, decorative lighting, benches, a time capsule, and other elements. Alumni and friends are encouraged to take part in this special initiative. Check back soon for more information about how you can participate.
In addition, alumni are encouraged to send photographs of their campus experiences at any of the legacy institutions to be included in the archives and at select events.
