Breakaway is a 24-hour overnight experience for high school students. You can attend a variety of classes, daily chapel, meet faculty and staff, and participate in information sessions and other planned activities. You will also spend the night in our residence halls, socialize and dine with our current students. While there is no charge, you will have to register at least one week in advance. Breakaways are offered twice each fall and once each spring.

Open House is a Saturday event that begins by having breakfast with VFCC president, Dr. Meyer. From there, head out on a campus tour, learn about the spiritual and social life at VFCC and connect with faculty and students in specific fields of interest. The conversation continues over lunch with the same faculty and current students. Visitors are then free to stay on for a tour of residence halls, a financial aid seminar and personal appointments with Admissions or Financial Aid. Open house is offered twice each fall and spring for high school Juniors, Seniors or Graduates only.
