Internships
Every student is required to complete an internship prior to graduation (except Elementary Education and Theological Studies majors). The focus of an internship is to prepare the student by giving them practical experience in their major. Emphasis is placed on self-understanding, conflict resolution, and practical concerns faced in working with people.
The internship can be taken for one, two, or three credits. Most students will need just one credit. For each course credit, the intern is required to complete a minimum of 75 hours. This is to be spread out over a minimum time period of 4 to 6 weeks under an approved supervisor. Students will complete their internship between their Junior and Senior year. The prerequisite is the Internship Seminar class (one credit course to be completed no more than two semesters prior to the internship). View internship requirements by major »
