Campus Visits
At VFCC we offer three unique opportunities for you to visit. Each can be valuable as you explore your educational options and gather important information. While our Breakaways are popular and draw hundreds of students, take a moment to consider each option and which will best meet your needs. All events are free.
Breakaway
A 24-hour overnight experience for high school students. You can attend a variety of classes, a chapel, information sessions and activities along with spending the night in our residence halls and eating with our students. While there is no charge, you will have to register at least a week in advance. Offered twice each Fall and once each Spring.

Open House
A Saturday event that begins by having breakfast with the President! From there you head out on a campus tour, learn about life at The Forge and then connect with faculty and students in your field of interest. Your conversation continues over lunch with the same faculty and students. You are then free to stay on for a tour of residence halls, a financial aid seminar and personal appointments with Admissions or Financial Aid. Offered twice each Fall and Spring for high school Juniors, Seniors or Graduates only.

College-for-a-Day
An individually designed weekday visit for any high school student or graduate. You and an Admissions counselor create a schedule that includes classes, a campus tour and lunch with your student host. Appointments with coaches, faculty and financial aid can also be added depending on your time restrictions. During Summer months, starting in May, your visit includes a campus tour, financial aid session, and time to connect with your Admissions Counselor. A minimum one week notice is required.
