Admissions for Undergraduate Students

STEP 1: Narrow Down Your College Choices

It's time to weigh your options when you have one to two years until graduation. Be sure to consider the following:

• Where do I think I'd like to go?
• Which colleges offer the programs that interest me?
• What size school am I looking for?
• How far do I want to be from home?
• What am I looking for in campus life?
• What extracurricular activities does the college offer?
• Where does God want me to be?

STEP 2: Visit Campus

Once you determine your short list, it's time to visit the colleges you are considering. The best time for this is during your junior year and the fall of your senior year. Valley Forge Christian College offers three unique visit options: Breakaways, Open Houses, College-for-a-Day. Breakaway is a special two-day campus experience, as well as an abridged “College-for-a-Day” opportunity. You have the opportunity to meet with an admissions counselor, financial aid personnel, tour the campus, visit classes, engage with current students and truly get to experience life at VFCC. STEP 3: Submit Your Applications

The fall of your senior year is the best time to apply. Don't wait until the last minute. Applications should be sent in by August 1for the fall semester and December 1 for the spring semester. The earlier the application is processed, the sooner the options are made clear and you are invited to schedule an appointment with an Admissions Counselor by calling the Office of Admissions at 800.432.8322. Once you have applied, you will be assigned an Admissions Counselor who will contact you and be your personal guide through the remainder of the process.

The application fee is waived for electronic applications. You can also print out the application form, fill it out and mail it in to VFCC.

Admission Requirements

You should provide the following material to the VFCC Office of Admissions:

• A completed application. Or, apply online here
• A $25 application fee (non-refundable). Fee waived if you apply online.
• A Pastor's Recommendation Form completed by a pastor or youth pastor who is not related.
• Transcripts from high school or General Education Development (GED) transcripts.
• College entrance exam (ACT or SAT) scores.

Our admissions professionals want what is best for each you and we will be in contact if you have questions or concerns about an application. We carefully review your application to be sure you are prepared academically, socially and spiritually for the demands of a college education at VFCC.

STEP 4: File Your FAFSA

Apply for financial aid as early as possible during your senior year of high school – before the academic term for which assistance is being requested. When it comes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we recommend filing it as soon as family income-tax returns for the year are completed. If you will be entering college in the fall, the FAFSA may be completed any time after January 1 of that same year. To meet the Pennsylvania State Grant deadline, the FAFSA must be received by May 1. Check with FAFSA for your each state's deadline.

STEP 5: Enrollment Deposit

Once you are accepted to Valley Forge Christian College, a $100 enrollment deposit is required within 30 days. The deposit is credited toward your account and serves as a declaration of intent to enroll. However, if you choose not to enroll at VFCC, the deposit is non-refundable. Residence hall assignments are based on the date we receive your enrollment deposit—so do not wait.

STEP 6: Submit Financial Aid Info

At least 30 days before your first semester at Valley Forge Christian College begins, ALL financial aid information should be completed and on file with our Office of Financial Aid. This includes loan applications and any corrections needed by you or your parents. If this is not completed by that time, potential aid may be unavailable at the time of registration.
