Admissions Deadlines

Narrow your college choices

You're a year or two away from graduation. That means it's time to weigh your options. You'll want to be sure to consider these issues:

  • Where do I think I'd like to go?
  • Which colleges offer the programs that interest me?

  • What size college or university am I looking for?

  • How far do I want to be from home?

  • What am I looking for in campus life?
  • What extracurricular activities does the college offer?

  • Where does God want me to be?
Bottom line: If it's important to you, it should be on your list of things to consider.

Pack your bags, we're goin' to campus

OK, so now that you've got your short list, it's time to visit the colleges you're considering. The best time for this is during your Junior year and the fall of your Senior year. VFCC offers Breakaway, a special 2-day campus experience, as well as a briefer "College for a Day" opportunity. You'll meet with an admissions counselor, financial aid counselor, tour the campus, visit classes, meet students and get a hands-on feel for Valley Forge Christian College. For more information, contact the Admissions Department at 800-432-8322 or e-mail admissions@vfcc.edu at least one week before your planned visit.

Send in those applications!

Fall of your Senior year is the best time to apply. Don't wait until the last minute. Applications for Fall semester should be sent in by August 1st and by December 1st for Spring semester. The earlier you apply, the sooner you'll have a handle on your options.

File your FAFSA

Apply for financial aid as early as possible during your senior year of high school -- before the academic term for which you're requesting assistance. When it comes to the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), we recommend you file it as quickly as possible after your family has completed its income-tax returns for the year. For students entering college in the fall, the FAFSA may be completed any time after January 1 of that same year. To meet the Pennsylvania State Grant deadline, the FAFSA must be received by May 1st. Check with FAFSA for your particular state's deadline.

Show us the money

If you're accepted to Valley Forge, we require a $100 enrollment deposit within 30 days of your acceptance. The deposit is credited toward your student account and serves as a declaration of your intent to enroll. However, if you choose not to enroll at VFCC, the deposit is non-refundable. Another note: Dorm-room assignments are based on the date we receive your enrollment deposit, so don't wait.

Submit financial aid info

At least 30 days before your first semester at VFCC begins, ALL financial aid information should be completed and on file with the Financial Aid Office; this includes loan applications and any corrections needed by the student or parents. If not completed by that time, potential aid may be unavailable at the time of registration and you'll have to cover costs another way during the interim.
