Department Chair - Church Ministries

The Department of Church Ministries has an opening for the full-time Chair of the department. Responsibilities include teaching at the graduate and undergraduate levels, administration of the department and its programs, and overseeing the undergraduate internship program. Nine credit hours/semester are for teaching, while three credit hours of release time are provided for administrative responsibilities. Additional responsibilities include advising students, working collaboratively on academic and college committees, participating in the spiritual life of the VFCC community, and engaging regularly in professional development and scholarly activity. Compensation is based on qualifications, including education and experience.

Qualifications:


Ph.D. or D.Min. required in ministry-related area. Ordained Assemblies of God minister. Extensive experience as lead pastor required. Higher education teaching experience preferred.

The Church Ministries department is the largest department in the College. It not only services its own programs (3 AA, including one online; 15 BA, including two online; 2 MA, both online), but it also teaches many of the 30 credits of Bible, theology, and Christian life courses, which are required for all students.
